HAWTHORN, GARLIC, MISTLETOE - Hawthorn, Garlic and Mistletoe together have a positive effect to health of the circulatory system, treat angina, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure and cardiac arrhythmia and has been found to strengthen the heart. Hawthorn is widely regarded in Europe as a safe and effective treatment for the early stages of heart disease and has been used for a number of ailments including angina, myocarditis, arteriosclerosis, nervous conditions like insomnia, and diarrhea. It has also been indicated for strengthening blood vessels, vascular insufficiency and blood clots, restoring the heart muscle wall, lowering cholesterol and to aid digestion.

Hawthorn contains naturally occurring antioxidants which help to protect against harmful free radicals which damage cells and tissues and are also responsible for the aging process due to oxidation. It also effectively assists digestion. Hawthorn helps to reduce blood pressure by dilating the blood vessels, and helps to dissipate cholesterol deposited within the blood vessel walls. It may also be recommended to help treat vasocontriction, circulatory problems, and in the case of excessive intake of fat and meat.

Garlic contains potassium, phosphorus, vitamins B and C, and protein. It has a vasodilatory, antihypertensive, sedative, and antiseptic effect; it is also good against worms. Garlic’s vasodilatory effect predominates especially in the peripheral (farther from the heart) blood vessels. It is particularly effective against arteriosclerosis. Furthermore, garlic helps against bloating and reduces blood cholesterol levels. It improves blood supply to the heart muscle, slows down a rapid heart rate, and helps to relieve coronary spasms.

Mistletoe traditional herbal use includes helping to normalize circulation, blood pressure, nervous and endocrine systems inc. pancreas, chronic fatigue, and metabolism, menopausal and period problems.
