Cold Pressed Rice Bran Oil

RICE BRAN OIL - Has long been popular cooking oil in Japan.  Research at major universities indicates it may lower harmful (LDL) cholesterol levels.  Also, good for the skin it flows on smoothly with moderate penetration, contains natural Vitamin E.

The oil is extracted from the inner husk of the kernel of rice. Rice bran oil has a high smoke point (490 degrees) so it's ideal for frying and can add a pleasant flavor to food. In addition, its long shelf life requires no hydrogenation.

Rice bran oil is known for reducing cholesterol and cardiovascular disease. In addition, rice bran oil contains antioxidants and is appropriate for those who may have food sensitivities or allergies. Compared with other oils, rice bran oil has a lower amount of mono-unsaturated and poly-unsaturated fats. Rice bran oil's levels of fat mirror the American Heart Association's recommendations.

To add rice bran oil to your diet, simply substitute it for other oils in your favorite recipes. As a matter of fact, rice bran oil contains fewer polymers than other oils, which means richer flavors and easier cleanup as well.
